Admin Guide
This page covers features only available to superadmins. If you don’t see an Admin tab in the app, you’re a regular user and can skip this page.
User Roles
| Role | What they can do |
|---|---|
| User | Create and edit flows, manage phone numbers, use ElevenLabs, view enabled templates |
| Superadmin | Everything a user can do, plus: manage the whitelist, control template visibility, see all templates |
Managing the Whitelist
Only whitelisted Eqho employees can log into the IVR Builder. To manage the whitelist:
- Go to the Admin tab
- Enter an Eqho email address
- Choose a role (User or Superadmin)
- Click Add
To remove someone, find them in the list and click the delete button.
Only superadmins can promote other users to superadmin.
Controlling Template Visibility
Superadmins can control which templates appear on the Create Flow page:

This is managed from the Admin tab under template settings. Changes take effect immediately.
Default Visibility
Some templates are set to superadmin only by default because they’re either very simple (better alternatives exist) or require special setup:
- Visible to all by default: Simple Bilingual, Department Menu, Ring Group, Play Audio IVR
- Superadmin only by default: Business Hours, Multi-Language Menu, After-Hours Emergency, Simple Forward, Forward + Voicemail, Voicemail
Previewing the User View
On the Create Flow page, superadmins see a toggle button in the top-right corner:
- User View — Shows exactly what a regular user would see (only enabled templates)
- Admin View — Shows all templates, including superadmin-only ones
This is useful for checking that the right templates are visible before telling a user to go create a flow. Your toggle preference is remembered in the browser.
